Back in

Well, a little cough that I developed two weeks ago developed into a big cough last week. Then that landed me back in the hospital a couple of days ago. Why? Pneumonia.... yuck. My blood oxygen level was low so they gave me a chest x-ray and a CT scan. that verified it. Then they gave me a Broncoscopy. It was about as bad as it sounds. They stick a camera down my throat and look at the inside of my lungs. While they're there, they flush some of the gunk out to get a sample to figure out what's causing it (virus, bacteria, fungus, etc). They also did a small biopsy to make sure the tissue is healthly. Of course the biopsy is literally cutting into the lung, so I was coughing up small bits of blood for a while.

Results so far from the Broncoscopy have been negative. That means it looks like it's just an odd lung inflamation... probably a late side effect of chemo. They say I can go home tomorrow morning with some steriods to help be breath. Worst part of the whole ordeal? I couldn't be around Kate and Abby :(. I miss them.

Oh dude, that really sucks. Just seems like it's one blow after another man. Well, Sarah and I are thinking about you, and like we always say, if there is ANYTHING we can do, please just call, text, e-mail, AIM, or send smoke signals. Hang in there man, a little pneumonia can't stop Jason Holmes!
